1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access and use of the website knockarounds.it.com (the “Site”) operated by Knockaround (“we”, “us”, “our”).

By browsing the Site, creating an account, placing orders, or purchasing any products, you confirm that you have read, understood, and fully agree to abide by these Terms and our Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy and Payment Policy.

If you do not accept these Terms, you must stop using our website immediately.

This agreement complies with Italian consumer law and EU GDPR regulations for all customers based in the European Economic Area (EEA).

2. Eligibility to Use the Site

  • You must be at least 16 years old to place an order and enter a binding purchase contract with us.
  • If you are purchasing on behalf of a company, you warrant that you have full authority to bind that business to these Terms.
  • You agree to provide true, accurate and complete personal information when creating an account or completing checkout.
  • You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account login details, including your password. Any activity made under your account is your full responsibility.

3. Account Rules

  • You may register one personal customer account only. Multiple fake or duplicate accounts may be suspended without prior notice.

  • We reserve the right to suspend or permanently delete your account if we detect fraud, abuse, chargeback misuse, spam activity or violation of these Terms.

4. Product & Pricing Information

4.1 Product Descriptions

We make every reasonable effort to display accurate product photos, sizes, lens specifications, frame colours and features. However, screen display differences may cause minor colour variations, which do not constitute product defects. Prescription eyewear specifications are customised per customer input, and you must double-check all lens details before payment submission.

4.2 Pricing & Currency

  • All prices shown on the Site are in Euro (EUR) and include applicable Italian VAT unless clearly marked otherwise.
  • Shipping costs, customs duties (for international orders), split payment fees and import taxes are displayed separately at checkout where applicable.
  • We reserve the right to adjust product prices without advance notice due to supply chain cost changes, seasonal promotions or error corrections. If a product is listed at an obvious incorrect price due to system error, we reserve the right to cancel your order before dispatch, with a full refund issued.

4.3 Promotions & Discount Codes

  • Coupon codes, seasonal sales, bundle offers and exclusive discounts cannot be combined unless explicitly stated on the promotion page.
  • Discounts cannot be applied retroactively to already completed orders.
  • We may restrict promotions to one use per customer, per household or per account. Abuse of discount codes may result in order cancellation.

5. Order & Contract Formation

  1. Adding items to your shopping cart does not reserve stock or form a sales contract.
  2. A binding contract between you and us is only created once we verify your payment and send you an official order confirmation email.
  3. We retain the right to refuse or cancel any order for reasons including:
    • Item stock unavailability
    • Suspected fraudulent payment or billing address mismatch
    • Mass bulk resale orders without prior wholesale agreement
    • Past history of excessive returns or unauthorised chargebacks
  4. If we cancel your order, all funds paid will be fully refunded to your original payment method within 3–5 working days.

5.4 Pre-Orders

For limited-edition pre-order products:

  • A deposit is charged at checkout, with the remaining balance automatically charged before shipment.
  • Estimated release dates are subject to supplier delays and not legally binding delivery deadlines.
  • Pre-order deposits are non-refundable if you cancel after stock has arrived at our warehouse, unless the delivery delay exceeds 90 days.

6. Payment Terms

  • We accept Visa, Mastercard, Amex, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Klarna instalments and store gift cards.
  • We do not store full credit card or CVV data; all payments are processed through PCI-DSS certified secure third-party gateways.
  • Your card will be charged immediately for in-stock items; pre-orders only charge the initial deposit upfront.
  • Failed payments, expired cards or insufficient funds will pause order processing until valid payment information is provided.
  • Cash on delivery, bank wire transfers and cheques are not accepted.

7. Shipping, Delivery & Customs

  • Delivery timelines are estimated and not guaranteed; courier delays, customs clearance or public holidays may extend transit time.
  • For shipments outside the European Union, all import duties, local taxes and clearance fees are the sole responsibility of the customer and are not covered by our shipping charges.
  • We deliver to valid residential and commercial addresses only; PO boxes may not be eligible for express shipping.
  • If a package is returned to us due to incorrect customer address, missed delivery or refusal to pay customs fees, you will be responsible for a reshipping surcharge or may choose full refund minus original shipping cost.

8. Returns, Refunds & Exchanges

8.1 30-Day Consumer Return Right

For standard, unworn, undamaged non-final-sale items, you may request a return within 30 calendar days after delivery. Goods must be returned with original packaging, lens case and all accessories in resellable condition.

  • Domestic Italian returns include a free pre-paid shipping label.
  • EU and international return shipping fees are borne by the customer unless the item arrived damaged, defective or shipped incorrectly by our warehouse.

8.2 Non-Returnable Items

The following products are final sale and cannot be returned, exchanged or refunded:

  • Custom prescription sunglasses and optical frames
  • Limited-edition collaboration collections marked “Final Sale”
  • Gift cards and store credit
  • Clearance discounted goods clearly labelled non-refundable

8.3 Refund Process

Once returned goods pass our warehouse quality inspection, refunds are issued to your original payment method. Processing time ranges from 3 to 7 business days, depending on your payment provider. We do not refund original shipping fees unless the return is caused by our shipping error or defective merchandise.

9. Intellectual Property Rights

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

Our products are sold “as-is” without extended warranties beyond mandatory Italian consumer legal guarantee:

  • We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free website performance. The Site may undergo temporary maintenance downtime without prior notice.
  • Minor cosmetic frame marks or colour tone differences from screen previews are not classified as manufacturing defects.
  • We are not liable for indirect damages including loss of profit, travel costs or inconvenience caused by delivery delays, product defects or out-of-stock items, within limits allowed by Italian consumer law.

13. Limitation of Liability

Our total maximum liability for any claim arising from your order or website use shall not exceed the full purchase amount you paid for the relevant products.

This clause does not exclude liability for personal injury, fraud or cases prohibited by mandatory Italian consumer protection legislation.

14. Force Majeure

We shall not be held responsible for any failure or delay in order fulfilment caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, global supply chain breakdowns, courier strikes, government border restrictions, factory shutdowns or power/IT outages. We will notify customers of delays as soon as practically possible.

15. Modification of Terms
